The Plan
I typed out this long thing where I talked about food and diets and fitness and exercise and crap like that. But I was afraid the simplicity of all of this would be lost in all those words.
So here it is in a nutshell. I started eating low carb and I started exercising regularly.
No it’s not a “no carb” diet. And no it’s not a “bacon diet.” I’m hesitant to even call it a diet. More on that later though.
I gave up wheat and processed sugar and a few vegetables that are higher than most in starch and sugar. That’s it.
Yes, it’s healthy. No, it hasn’t sent me into kidney failure. No, I won’t gain all of my weight back overnight if I eat a piece of bread. Yes, I eat a ton of vegetables. No, I didn’t get constipated and die from being full of crap or whatever other misguided, misinformed BS you’ve heard about low carb in general.
That might still be too many words. So here it is in pictures:
I stopped eating things like this:

I stopped doing things like this:
I started doing things like this:
well except that kick boxing guy at the bottom. I haven’t done that… yet.

You Rock!!! I have been living your story through Jason(great friend). I am so proud of you for doing it A La Natural. You Go Girl!
Kelley
Thanks, Kelley. J has been a huge source of inspiration and motivation. I can honestly say that I wouldn’t be where I am right now in terms of physical activity and fitness without his encouragement and virtual coaching along the way. He got me through my first 5K and despite my efforts to the contrary, I’m actually starting to like running (just a little).
